A Festive Occasion Among Friends and Others: Bingo Bolger-Baggins

So Elanorelle and I brought the first course out while being regaled with an accounting by a very ebullient Celly of her time with Feanor in the smithy--it's quite nice to see her so bubbly. We hobbits were just about to toast and start in on our own when Feanor joined us, shortly followed by his grandson Celebrimbor, who I haven't even gotten a chance to greet yet, I'm sorry to say. I see he's having a nice chat with Elanorelle and Folly. I do wish Grandmum were here as Feanor said he would like to meet her.

Anyway, I had gotten up to chop some more salad, and it's a good thing too, I suppose, because we have just been joined by yet another guest, Feanor's son Curufin, who Melba is attending to, and ah, good! There's Uncle Sennie, finally.

I'm sorry, Curufin, I just got distracted looking at this lovely arrangement. And then I had to help fetch in the second course. I am Bingo, Bingo Bolger-Baggins--Bingie is just what close friends sometimes call me. You said you are a Warrior Princess? have many skills, this being quite a fine one. You asked something else.

But one moment, does anyone need more wine?

*has an almost pathological need to be the center of attention, even passively ;)*

*common*About. *switches to Quenya*I have a fortress on Himring, an island to the west of here. I've recently been killing people voyaging in the East.

It looks like that Earendil got his filthy half-blood hands on Yarquesse again, so I may be branching out into space travel. On the other hand, I think he ditched that slut of a Ring finally.

[identity profile] bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com 2005-08-08 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Fascinating! Tell me more. *mun rolls eyes, pulls hobbit back by the collar*

*nods, in Quenya* Have you? Up above Lindon. Ah. Sightseeing?

*calmly with years of experience from his Hobbits rights training work* I'm not a big fan of so-called purity between the peoples. I think mixing things up is a good thing, and wouldn't hesitate to romance one of your people, so I don't find half-blood an insult myself. *eyes him curiously* Space travel. How interesting. I didn't know Earendil had a ring--a magic ring, I'm assuming? *sips his wine*

[identity profile] curufinwe.livejournal.com 2005-08-08 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
His filthiness is entirely independent of him being a half-blood. And more on his mother's side than his father's (damn blondes). My grievance with him is...personal.

Oh, no, he didn't have any rings, Yarquesse was dating Nenya and it was all very confusing but apparently they seperated after they eloped.

[identity profile] bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com 2005-08-08 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. *is glad to know* You didn't like Idril or Turgon?

Those rings do get around.

*is hostly* By the by, do you need a place to stay tonight? We can fix up a guest room with two beds together--sleeping on the diagnal should fit you.

You too, Curufin. Do you need a place to rest the night?

[identity profile] curufinwe.livejournal.com 2005-08-08 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Turukano was an ass. And his wife was a scheming bitch. And so was his daughter. as of when I last met her, when she was a toddler And Earendil's -blond-. *as if this explains everything*

*engrossed in explanation, does not notice scions plotting in corner*

[identity profile] hobbitkitty.livejournal.com 2005-08-08 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
*jumps up on the back of Feanor's chair, and starts batting and noshing on his hair* Wheeee!

[identity profile] curufinwe.livejournal.com 2005-08-08 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
*whirl* >:O

*brandishes table knife in absence of sword*

[identity profile] bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com 2005-08-09 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oops! *quickly snatches up Bagshot and cradles him, in Quenya* Terribly sorry about that. This is Bagshot; he's our pet cat, not a threat. *pets calmingly, gives Feanor a soothing smile*

*wonders about this use of "blonde" as an insult* I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with them. *carefully* I have to admit I have no love for Turgon from what interaction I have had with him. *frowns, sips his wine*

And please do let me know if you need us to fix up a room for you.

So, do you have plans for any more marvels from your forge in the works?

[identity profile] hobbitkitty.livejournal.com 2005-08-09 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
*purrs and kneads Bingo's arm*

[identity profile] curufinwe.livejournal.com 2005-08-09 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
I recently did an emergency intervention on the doors of Moria. But these days I am considering the mystery of flight and also the mystery of why my grandson refuses to behave.

[identity profile] bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com 2005-08-09 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ah! So you do restorations! Of course. Really? So are you designing some flying devices? They will no doubt be quite magnificent!

*listens to his comment on his son* Oh. *cajoling* He seems to be an awfully courteous person to me who would bring honour to your family. In other words, you did well with your offspring. How else would you have him behave then, if I might ask?

[identity profile] curufinwe.livejournal.com 2005-08-09 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he's a bit of a pansy It's...hard to explain. He's not...well, he's not Noldor enough, really. And he has a tendancy to fall under the sway of evil demigods that really needs to be addressed.

I was thinking of moving on tonight, but with my son here...I'd be fine with sleeping in the forge if you don't have any beds built for elves of my considerable height.

[identity profile] bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, he certainly could be more of one, I should think. I could put in a word for him on the Council (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=pansycouncil). Well, he certainly doesn't look Entish to me. And he's much to tall to be one of ours. *eyes him mischievously over his glass as he sips* That could be a problem, yes. But oh, some evil (http://www.livejournal.com/users/darklordsauron) is worth swaying for, in my experience.

Don't be silly! You'll do no such thing. You'll sleep in a proper bedroom. As I said earlier, we'll push two beds together and the diagnal should accomodate you well enough.

[identity profile] curufinwe.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
What about my son? I want to keep an eye on him

[identity profile] bbolger-baggins.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
We can fix up a room for him as well, as I offered earlier ah, !Noldor With Children is one of my favourite shows Gladly!
