Thank you, Gary. *watches her go, then turns to the nightstand and picks up the pen and paper, twitches with a pain, sighs and writes:

My Dear Back End Family,

*finds writing is difficult still, decides he must make this brief*

I am safe now. I am at South Link Farms on the outskirts of Southlinch, south of Bree--looked after by a kind hobbit--long story. Am not well enough to travel yet. Do NOT go into the woods of the Shire alone--there are Wargs about. I was attacked by a Warg. Am recovering. Do not worry about me. Will come home when able.

*with shaky hands writes out the card to Elly (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/morrowbright/birthday_card.jpg) and addresses it*

*folds the letter he wrote and adresses that*

*hands them to Garnet* Will someone be going to Bree soon to mail these?

Yeah--I think so. *takes the card and letter* I'll pass these along. *pulls his covers up more snuggly around him* I can see you need to rest more, so I'll go and you go rest. *starts to head out*

*smiles at her* Thank you dear. *grabs her hand as she turns and squeezes it* I can't help but get well with all the care you've given me.

*down the hall, he can hear her yell* OMEru, you little bratlings!!!! Quit that or, or I'll sulk and you'll be so sorry!!!!
