A Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood: Bingo Bolger-Baggins
So we finally arrived home at Back End without further incident with our First Age guest. We had a spot of tea and did some chatting all around, and then Feanor stepped outside and that's when Further Incident made an appearance, not a very major one, but an appearance nonetheless in the form of a loud crack that we all went out to investigate, and which turned out to be a tree limb felled by Feanor's instigation. This seemed to be accompanied by a family reunion of sorts between Feanor and Celebrimbor. They went to see Celly's smithy while the rest of us went in to get dinner together. But everyone is invited when they're ready to come in and take a seat at the table.
Let's see what we have in the wine cabinet. We have wine from Woodhall--that's good. Ah, and here's one from the vineyards by the Gulf of Lune and one from the Havens--made with Elven palates in mind--let's put those out as well. Shall I pour, or should we wait?

Well, because as much as you want to start afresh now, there's no way you can put your past behind you--one's past becomes ever more looming when you carry it into a new place, trying to find a drawer to stuff it into. These Noldor have given a chance for you to view it from the angle of a more distant part of that family. Aaaaaaand it's made you somewhat ornery today, dearheart--and that's a very good thing. *smiles encouragingly at her* It will help you settle here better, carry your past from a more advantageous hold, and continue on into your future with it. Besides ornery Elanorelle amuses me ever so much.

I know Bingo, thank you. I suppose I knew that I'd have to go through this process at some point, but I wasn't quite expecting it today, and would have preferred to go through in a slightly less... *winces, imagining how moody and difficult and self-absorbed she must seem to everyone else present* public manner.
*smiles as Isengar enters the room but holds back a moment, still feeling a bit awkward and insecure and weird*

*sees his uncle enter (http://www.livejournal.com/users/bbolger_baggins/60250.html?thread=1732954#t1732954)* Ah, and look who it is.
